Part 4
The Trip Back

As usual, before the update proper, I would like to write about Dim Sum Dollies. It was very funny and I thought I was sittingtoo far away, and too high as well. Couldn't see much but overall, a very local production with lots of humour! haha..Tomorrow will be the last show, do catch it! Feel so out of touch in school thus far, hope next week will be very much better!

Aberdeen --> Amsterdam

Disastrus check-in. 7 people were initially denied boarding due to weather conditions. Unfortunately, the staff was unable to pin-point what kind of weather conditions they were referring to. A look outside the window was bright and sunny, I guess must be the heat? Anyway, they explained that there will be weight retrictions and so even the flight cases with instruments were denied boarding. Negotiations were made and they finally allowed 4 more on board. Hence, 3 were stranded together with the flight cases. The worst thing is communication is so bad that the flight cases were apparently not recorded in their computer screen when it was just a day ago. Denial? I am not sure.

There was a baggage re-check as the check-in counter made a mistake in the number of checked in luggages! Can you believe it? So every passenger had to get down one by one to check our luggages. Really pity those who load and unload them. Hence the flight was delayed by nearly 2 hours! What is more? 2 of our members found that their names in the boarding passes were wrong, hence they were technically not checked in and their luggages were checked in under 2 other members' names. The staff just told them to sit down and settle everything in Amsterdam.

Amsterdam --> Tropical Island

We were 2 hours late and it was already boarding time when we reached the Airport. The 2 members with wrong boarding passes were just queueing at the transfer desk for their correction. However, things were moving so slowly such that time is really running out. One even had to leave her desk at this crucial moment? The woman next to them started crying and all a 2 striped lady could offer was a piece of tissue for only 3 striped people could help her. I rushed to the boarding gate to highlight the situation but the lady just refused to listen. All she did was mutter a lot of things repeatedly and telling me to board the flight without listening to me. My very first time being rather fierce but with no effect! urgh! In the end, those 2 were stranded in Amsterdam.

The whole flight back was smooth but I just could not sleep. Thinking of the 5 and the flight cases throughout. Fortunately, they returned the very next day with the flight cases and some compensation which is quite worthwhile.

Lesson learnt?
