Having finished the assigned task (not job!) earlier than expected and having found the location familiar, I decided to pay my alma mater a visit. The secondary one that is. I shall call it M here! haha.....
The feeling was exhilarating! I tell you. If you have not visited your alma mater for the past 6 years, perhaps it is time to take a look. Too bad I did not bring any camera with me for it was done at a spur of the moment. Nevertheless, loads of memories flew back into my head as I climbed the extremely winding staircase to reach the secondary section. Still as windy as before, must understand that M is built on a hill where they called it Mount.
Before I stepped into the General Office, I was already greeted by a familiar face. Though he never taught me personally before, he hailed from the same school as me when I was Sec 1/2. Anyway, so I introduced myself in the general office as;
Me, "Hello! I was an old boy. Came to visit the teachers, do I need a pass or something?" Clerk?, "How you know need pass?" Me,"Thought is the same everywhere?" Clerk?,"Oh! Okay! Here is your pass."
Was greeted by yet another teacher who thought she taught me before. Felt unkind to tell her the truth so I pretend to have forgotten but still told that my Geography teacher was someone else in the end. The truth is, I shared cab with her before. haha....All the teachers are still pretty much the same, still as chirpy as ever and telling me all their theories. There were a few teachers who actually remembered me pretty well like the flopped drama I put up during teachers' day, that I wanted to be a gynae and that I wanted to build a school.
The most common question was; "Do you have a girlfriend?"
My answer, "No!" followed by, "Not yet!"
They heaved a sigh of relief. Should have seen their expressions! haha
So I walked through the corridors of the classrooms and realised everything is still the same. Tables are never in rows, Chairs are everywhere, "paintings on the walls", students running and screaming around. Things are still the same I guess.
Do really miss my school and seriously, without M, I wouldn't be doing the course I desire today. M accepted me despite me being rejected by tonnes of others. Oh well!
By the way, realised they have a new slogan to attract student.
"Unleash and discover the Marist in you."
I find the word unleash extremely amusing!
hahaha...
Oh! I watched Infection, the new Japanese "horror" movie today with a totally new group of people! haha...Anyway, infection is really infectious! Just can't stop talking about it for none of us understood how the plot went! So, go watch and figure it out! Share it too! haha....
