I must say that the movie is not exactly very thrilling but it actually touches from deep within. Had the "company" of the usual people although we were seated seats away due to communication breakdown. Particularly on my part.
I confess that I have no choice but to be summoned to slumberland at the beginning of the show. In fact, I never felt the trailer of the show appetising. I was looking forward to watch action packed Constantine instead. Well fate has it that I had to watch Finding Neverland due to the lack of seats for the action-packed one. I never regretted it.
Finding Neverland was able to touch the 4 tastes in life I felt. Sour, Sweet, Bitter, Hot. Alright, perhaps not so much on the hot part except for the part when the grandmother was arguing with one of the children? The hot here means, chili kind of hot and not any other hotness.
Sweet - The play Peter Pan was made very sweet. The audience was made very sweet. The dog was very sweet. The whole scenario was sweet.
Sour - Heart wrenching moments were everywhere. About how one of the boys miss his fathers, how he hated adult lies and the list goes on.
Bitter - This was the most important component I must say. Still could remember at the end of the show, one the boys asked Mr Barrie, "Why must she die?" Isn't that so bitter? I mean, the boy was just so young to be even asking this!
The show was not strong enough to result in overflow of tears but I must say that it has successfully activated my lacrimal gland.
Watch it! To experience it!
