I think I seriously need English remedial lessons! If not, perhaps lessons in the time line. Made 2 silly mistakes today while conversing with fellow peers.
Eg.1) When asked when I was born, "I was nearly born in 1985."
The correct form should have been, I was born near to 1985.
Eg.2) When I was trying to tell someone that 1904 was history, "This is beyond your time."
The correct form should have been, This is before your time.
My apologies if I still make mistakes in the corrected form.
My secondary school English Teacher would have strangled me.
