Just came back from a wedding dinner amidst the 20% thingy that is going to start happening tomorrow. Even horses and bulls take a break right?
I must say it was a very lovely wedding for I know both the bride and the groom. Though not very well or close, I use to hitch a ride in their car for the morning western journey. Alright, I always spoil their early mornings get together by snoring at the back. Really grateful in that sense la. Glad to witness it all today!
So it was a holy matrimony between a doctor and a pharmacist. So what kind of people will you expect in that dinner? My table was filled with an all doctors league with a psychologist in between and a 5 year old boy next to me with a small little lovely baby opposite me.
Realised that I could not really communicate with anyone there, not like I did not want to try but I totally not know what on earth they were talking about. My relief was the instant soulmate. Yup, the 5 year old boy talked to me the whole dinner time. I helped him collected all the heads of lobsters, chicken, prawns for his plate and he drew pictures in a metal book. Alright, he was not really listening to me most of the time. Oh well! The adults were talking.
So the groom and the bride walked over towards the end and mingled with the table.
The groom then blurted out that I will be a doctor and their colleague in 5 years time.
Right on cue, the baby opposite started crying non-stop.
