With all the hype about Budget airlines and of course the air fares! We must of course start to be more aware of developements of places within 5 hours flight radius.
Actually my main focus here is Hong Kong la!
There are really many exciting infrastructure upcoming in this Pearl of the Orient.
In 2006 we will see the opening of Disneyland - Hong Kong.
In 2007 we will see the construction of the West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD).
Special mention goes to the WKCD which will boost a full glass kind of shelter roof stretching like the shape of a bird throughout the whole entire area designed by World famous Sir Norman Foster. If you have watched the show "My Lucky Star" starring Miriam Yeung and Tong Leung you will realise that they did mention that this bird is for feng shui purposes to counter the tortoise a.k.a Convention Centre just across the Harbour.
Nevertheless, in the WKCD there will be theatres, musuem clusters, shopping centres, promenade, amphitheatres and a fully self automated train system that serves the entire WKCD. It is noted that WKCD is built extremely close to the present Cultural Centre at Tsim Sha Tsui. Making it all the more a hub!
This is really an exciting development and I am totally impressed. So now you know why there is so much buzz about building a casino here. Competition!
