Fragile.

Have you been reading forum lately? No, not forums from forumic webpages but by THE forum from Straits Times a.k.a the serious English newspaper in Singapore. Anyway, if you noticed, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Singapore has been writing in quite frequently these days. All in the defence of either economic policies or present status of Hong Kong. Actually, this sort of reflect the present fragile status of the HK Government.

Not too long ago, the HKETO replied on the Forum rebutting on MM Lee's view that Hong Kong's future is not decided by just 7 million of HKers but by the 1.3 billion Chinese people from the Mainland. HKETO sort of replied that HK is in an unique position and ended sort of with such a position will enable it to outdo all Asian economies. As for the most recent one, it was to reply to ST that its article regarding CEPA (Closer Economic Partnership Agreement). Basically, it just wants to highlight the flawed article and that HK can really benefit from the CEPA.

Seriously, I really feel that the replies are really a true reflection of the present insecurity and fragile confidence of HK and the government in general. Guess for HK to succeed again in the long run, it must first build up trust and rapport with the people so there is stability. With stability there comes the can-do spirit. And then, there will be confidence and when there is confidence, everything will be so bright and optimistic!

I believe of such a day. Really.

I ate Kuishinbo with the surveys people today and feel like a happy and satisfied pig now. I watched dodgeball and feel so dumb. I played bowling and feel happy. I looked at my lower limbs and slept.

What a beautiful day!
