I seriously played table tennis from 2-5 today. Alright, I am a self confessed table tennis dummy. The reason I played is no, not because of the Li Jia Wei syndrome but rather the Kim Kyung Ah Syndrome. haha.....find the way she plays table tennis very interesting and so wanted to learn. Yes, learn! I had no prior training or what so ever. Anyway, just realised that the 'interesing' method is called 'chopping' and it belongs to one of the high level of mastery skills. No wonder she is seeded 3rd in Athens 2004.
For a beginner, glad that I managed to learn the back-hand block/return as well as how to serve properly today. Um....think I managed it quite well. Okay, I can't handle all the other strokes cos the ping pong will always go out of the table. This is really a very meticulous game and ask for a lot of versatility. At least, I enjoyed myself....haha.....
Okay. I went to the Mad Lip (Med Lib) after the game to see if my friend was still there. Alright, searched twice and looked at every little small corners and he was not there. This is not the main point. The main point is that I realised that the Mad Lip can be quite a scary place at that hour or many other hours. You see people mugging continously in a marathon and when you walk past them, they give you this daggered look and everyone young and old is highlighting notes, reading thick books, memorising and doing tutorials. Think studying in there is very intimidating and I think I still prefer the comfort of my home......haha....
