Location: Causeway Bay, Hong Kong Island

Exact Location: 4th Floor of the the Hong Kong Central Library.

The Hong Kong Central Library is actually an extremely modern 10 storey building. Upon entrance, you can actually imagine that you are in some high class five star hotel. Eh...the reason why I am here is to actually read up on the latest Hong Kong and international newspapers to prepare for my HKU interview tomorrow and also to wait for my friend whom I am meeting at 5.30 at Tsim Sha Tsui.

Have been meeting up with ICQ friends whom I have never met before since Saturday. So far, I have already met up with 6 of them. Um...thought that it would be awkward but everything turned out fine. :-) At least on my side, don't know about them. Hope they enjoyed themselves as much as I do. hmm....the CU Medical students kept mentioning that after they graduate, they might have to flee to Singapore to search for opportunities. The unemployment rate for this recent batch of Medical graduates according to them has hit a record high of 20% (CU alone)!! So, I was told to think twice if I really want to suffer the same fate as them.....hmm.....but who knows what happens 5 years down the road?

More about the Central Library. I really hope that the new Singapore National Library can be something like this though some might find it a little bit too extravagant.

Please wait......

haha...Someone just dis-infected the mouse and the keyboard for me. One to spray the antiseptic and the other to wipe it clean. How hygenic! haha....

The weather has been extremely hot and stuffy here. Somehow, I feel like a I am a piece of butter when I step outdoors. hmm...this is another reason why I am right here...for the air-con as well...haha...I think the trip so far has been extremely fruitful. Somehow, I have been going out everyday to different places and meeting different people. Waking up at 3-4pm has never occured at all....

Tomorrow is my HKU interview. Extremely excited about it. The idea of going to HKU itself to see the place is already captivating. Plus! I am going for an interview! Whether I succeed or not is secondary, I guess it is the experience la...Chances are very slim and I realised that my cantonese is not exactly very sufficient to communicate effectively with fast speakers that talk like bullet trains lor. Have been having a hard time trying to decipher some strange terms (esp with the med students) as well.....here are some;

1) Mike B - Microbiology
2) Fee Lo - Physiology
3) Ah Net - Anatomy
4) Sai - Psychiatry
5) Geng Go - Passing Examination
6) Kong U - HKU
7) P-dub - PWH (Prince of Wales Hospital)

And many many more....if you understand more than 3, welcome to Hong Kong. haha....

Yup Yup! Will be going to Macau after my HKU interview.

So, seeya in Macau and hopefully my interview will turn out great.
