Two and a half years ago I stepped into that island up north with nothing in my mind. In fact, I was not apprehensive or whatsoever. Just had the come what may mindset. Yah! And then there came the major acute back sprain that made me bed-ridden for a few days. Alright, recovered and then there came the course that made me a nurse. Hmm...I proclaim that period as the most memorable part of my 2.5 years life in green. It was there that I made friends with a group of people whom I will never forget...and it was there that I was never HURT...physically. haha......
Yup! Passed the course happily and went on to a Hospital. Alright, don't look at me with those green eyes okay! It may not be physically demanding but mentally...it was. It was there that I met workmates that changed my life....haha...I think I became more proactive in handling things and went overboard to become paranoid! Working till 11.30pm was nothing unusual there... Yah! Don't get me wrong! I enjoyed this place as well.
SARS came. So we moved to a temporary location and I was posted away. It was this place that made me understand the many many problems nurses may come across. Well, not long I was there, we shifted to NUS. haha...Moving was a disaster at first and I think the place is still not very smooth yet. Nevertheless, the camaraderie was there and I really enjoyed working as a nurse at this department for I came, I saw and I learnt! So many things that I will never be exposed in the outside world. Here, I have to Thank everyone from Highest ground to my dearest workmates....Thank You for whatever you have done, no matter how little it may seem!
April came the up north calling again. In 3 weeks, I fractured my calcaneum even though I really thought I could complete it! Enough said here.
Yup! I am done with my term as a worthy citizen today. Yet, I feel numb. Maybe, it really takes a few days to sink in the idea. Especially with a broken foot.....
