So I woke up to the third day of the Chinese New Year. Well, more or less in the mood already but I still failed to mingle successfully with the crowd. Perhaps, I did not even try.
Realised that I am either extremely shy or am having social phobia. Either or, it is bad.
Um...was talking to one of my JC classmates and something she said shocked me. Maybe, it is not shocking to you for you have been already exposed to the very real world. But to me, it was very shocking. Here goes,
She: Why don't you mingle with them, they might be useful in the future.
Me: Why the word useful?
She: Is very important to have a network of friends.
Me: So are you talking to me now because I might be useful to you in the future?
She: I know you before uni what.
Me: Oh.
Does that mean that as I enter Uni in a couple of months time...yes....only in less than half a year! haha...Will I have to face the above scenario very often? People talking to me for the sake (not sa.ke as in wine in Japanese..haha..) of using me in the future?
This is scary.
But I guess we should not generalise, shall experience it myself....hahaha....
