Managed to watch Infernal Affairs 2 with a friend of mine yesterday night. Really felt absorbed into the movie and felt that the ending part was totally brilliant. They managed to use the handover of Hongkong, with the change of flags to signify a new era, both in Hongkong as well as with the triads portrayed in the movies. Think that was really great, and they managed to do it perfectly. *clap*clap*clap*clap*
My friend commented that, "There is hope for the HK film industry."
I thought that there is always hope in the film industry there, just that in recent years, people are too involved in making fast money, so movies come out one after another. When adversity sets in (did you all watch the debate?), then they decide to put in more effort instead of just money into the movie-making business, and thus, such fine shows!~
Watched the debate finals on CNA today. Was really an extremely close fight between Sun Yat-sen University and Shih Hsin University. Scoring 931 and 930 points respectively. I guess the reason why the proposition was able to garner the extra point was that their debaters were more or less more united, sharp and of more equalise strength. Felt that the opposition was stepping on favourable grounds though. Nevertheless, both sides really did a splendid job by engaging the audience and bringing out the respective points and theories.
Yup!~ I will be going to the new building this Tuesday. It better be true, because I do not expect yet another broken promise. Sometimes, i really find it strange that I am so excited about going to the new building. hmm.....why ah?
Watched the news and found out that Madame Chaing Kai-shek (Song Mei-ling), passed away in her sleep at the age of 106 in New York. Though, I do not happen to know her personally, or did I study about her contributions to modern day Taiwan or Kuomingtang. What I am puzzled is that according to the media, she will be buried in New York, and does not want to be brought back to Taiwan. hmm....really wonder why?
