Why?

Babies are so young. They can't talk, they can only express themselves through crying. So why must they have the opportunity to fall sick at all? Some say this is life. If there is something we can do, I really hope that babies under the age of one should never fall sick.

My neighbour's baby that we have been babysitting fell sick today. Down with Bronchiolitis. I shall assume that it is the inflammation of the bronchioles. So the baby had been coughing and having difficulty in breathing. It is really very upsetting to see a helpless baby. Anyway, we rushed them down to KK Hospital.

Was quite shocked to see tonnes of people there. Thought it was CNY so perhaps, numbers will be small. I guess sickness knows no public holidays. The painful part came after the baby's assessment by the doctor. He asked for the removal of phlegm via a suction pump. The baby was left with only the nurse while all of us waited outside. Could hear the baby's crying during the procedure. It was really sad and there was nothing we could do to calm the baby. Activated my lacrimal glands even more than Finding Neverland. See! Why let babies fall sick?!

At least, the baby is feeling better now.

I hope he recovers soon.

I hope he will not remember today.

Better wish everyone Good Health this CNY! :-)
