1.5 Seats.

After a mind boogling tutorial on the same topic that I know nothing about and having stuffed myself with a peach tower (double scoop ice cream + peach + whipped cream + cherry + a small triangular waffle) from NUH Kopitiam, I guess it was home as usual with a fellow east bound friend YW and a north bound R.

The east bound train was as usual neither empty nor full. It must have been half empty then. Saw seats for two after R left. Um...1.5 seats to be exact for 0.5 of the other was occupied by a bag tightly gripped on by a middle-aged man (mam). Alright, the frequent MRT announcements would have told us to keep a look out for suspicious items and approach their staff or call a number with 3 digits. But the man looked um...friendly.

Thinking that we could squeeze in that 1.5 seats YW sat down hopeing that the mam will let go of his bag. He did make a little shift. Perhaps, he thought that I was not sitting. So I had to test the threshold.

I Sat. We Squeezed. I Knocked. We Got up. We Left. We Laughed.

The man never moved his bag.

He got down the next stop.

At least the woman next to me was nice enough to tell me that she was leaving the next stop and offered her seat to me. To me! Wow!
