Having been contemplating since the sacred order reached my house since August. To be ot not to be. In the end, I succumbed to the sunny island and proclaimed my loyalty before a nice woman, in front of a flag made of silk and 2 portraits of an Indian couple.
Well, I do love this place. But is hard to forget my heritage, my roots and the egg tarts! I mean, having been the migrant as I was, it is somehow hard to be assimilated into the surroundings and start blabbering lahs, lors, lehs and mehs with tinge of all sorts of language. Oh well, I guess I have adapted well but still with occasional inclusion of the cantonese accent.
Well, at least now I am a MBS (Macau Born Singaporean)! Just short of one more B to graduate 5 years of school! haha
Had very much fun at the URA exhibition today with the theme Shaping Singapore! Very impressed with all the photographs and graphics of the new downtown. Always find huge blown up pictures extremely appealing for you get to scrutinise every single detail possible. Had a gigantic map of the tropical island and the model of each and every building in it!! Managed to spot my house, shopping centres and all my schools from that map! I could even find the place where I fell down the stairs!
Think everyone should go there and see for themselves! It was very high tech as well. A part of it make you feel like you are in Star Wars or some X-men series. With the whole entire virtual map right at your finger tip! Don't move too fast or you will get dizzy and vomit. No high tech vomit wiper though...so beware!
Oh Well! Now that I am a certified MBS I can maybe start planting the tree outside my home and start contributing to the tropical island!
