Woken by the blasting of the Chinese National Anthem for it was the 5th Anniversary of the establishment of Macau SAR. Please! The SAR here does not mean that horrible virus that destroys every part of your lungs rather it means the Special Administrative Region of the PRC.
Rewind History a little.
Landed Hong Kong with a bang. And I really mean a bang, somehow, maybe the plane was too small, landing was really adventurous. I was vibrating so was everything else in the plane. Welcomed by frenzied tourists scuffling to get their way out of the airport. Nevermind about the tourists, had a sumptous dinner at Block E Amoy Gardens (Tao Da Hua Yuan/To Dai Fa Yuen). Too bad I did not bring a camera with me to capture that moment! urgh!
Blown away by the Peak yet again. The winds were so strong such that I was near frozen together with a friend from the tropical island and the family. Macdonalds at the Peak was, oh well, interesting I should say. I mean, Macdonalds at such high altitude is really something! Shopping is really tough in winter for clothes are just simply not suitable to wear in tropical island unless I want to do thermal slimming myself. Nevertheless, I still managed to shop a little on the first day.
Back to today.
Shipped to Macau on the 12am Ferry just to catch the 5th Anniversary. Reached at 1am to be greeted by avid gamblers losing and shouting and drunk. Um, I hope they managed to make their way home. So I managed to catch the flag raising at 8 and other celebratory activities. I think I am mad. But mad with a purpose.
"Please wait for awhile more Portuguese Chicken and Salmon!"
Went China for a shampooing experience. Oh Well, I guess they call it Thai Hair Washing. I thought the place do not look a tad Thai. In fact, there was this sleaze factor. Glad I was in the company of my Aunt! Um, if not.....
Was really surpised that Chinese Prseident gave a dressing down to HK leader on worldwide television while lots of praises for Macau.
As for the actual situation, I shall not comment. Booming I shall say.
As for the food, it is really good!
Better spend sometime with the Portuguese Chicken and Salmon now!
Not to forget, it is really great to see people in winter clothings! I mean, it is a sight that I seldom see. And I am part of the winter clothings crowd! I must say everyone looks very nice in winter clothings, so I guess I am included as well.
