BBoss - The class of 00S12 gathered for the tri-monthly congregation at the quaint little restuarant located opposite the House of the President. It was indeed a grand affair, with the attendance of 16 people plus one invisible person stucked in a traffic jam. His heart was with the class throughout the jam as he updated the organiser, Lin, of his whereabouts, at every other turn of the corner.
The first few early-birds were awarded with good seats, choice of the their own. The atmosphere reached a significant height when a few of the late-comers chose to model into the premises. After the free cat-walk show, it was time for ordering food. Just when the class realised that another late-comer, who was supposed to be parking his car, half an hour ago, was still trying very hard to park his car. He still managed to stroll into the compound an hour after the start of his parking campaign. The food were slowly dished in one by one. The class devoured the fish, the chicken, the pork, the lasagne, the potatoes, the cauliflower even the tiny minute herbs, one by one.
Just when everyone was in the midst of completing whatever that was found on their plates, a mysterious act occured. The flower lady, the long parker, and the stuck jammer disappeared into the air. At this moment, the class was speculating their where-abouts. Did they go for a break to inhale chemicals? Did they go for a secret mission? Did they....did they? There were too many questions in our head.
Fortunately, our intelligence reporter was there at the moment and spotted them flashing lights on themselves, a term called, photo-taking. The mystery was then finally solved. The class laughed and chatted throughout the whole dinner, with people staring at us intermittently. Their glares were of no significance, as the class was lost in their own little conversations.
The climax was when, the class held a birthday celebration for the August, September and October babies. With a cake called "Fairlady" accompanied by 2 huge candles to signify them hitting the big 2! It was a little quiet, as most did not really want to sing. Nevertheless, the singing was done in each of our hearts.
The whole outing ended on a fine note. With each member of the class wanting to leave, and then decided not to. Then, carried on walking, and stopped for a chat. This whole process took place repeatedly at least 4 times before the crowd finally dispersed. It was a case of Turn Left or Turn Right, as some departed for the NEL and others the NSL or EWL.
It was noted that there was a case of significant same dressing during the outing. The editor would like to say that it was purely coincidental.
The editor would also like to thank the organiser, Lin, for organising such an outing. TW, for being a treasurer again for 4 years running. And all those present who contributed in making it a truly enjoyable night.
The above article is especially dedicated to A, who was unable to attend the outing due to some feverish affairs. We wish him good health and an early discharge.
It is also dedicated to Geri E, whom I am not sure for whatever reason, did not attend the outing.
It is also for LF. Who has some things to attend to, thus having to give this tri-monthly affair a miss.
Lastly, it is for MX, Mili, RZ, CTRT, Sugarpie, who were unable to attend it as they are either overseas or stuck in a wooden studio.
It should also be celebrated that after two years, a class outing of such a magnitude actually occured.
The editor wrote this while on a joy ride on Bukit Panjang LRT.
Hereby wish everyone good health. hehehe.......and December will soon come, right, Barry?
